Ex- A conflict between people; arguing
Perspective: values and ideas shared by people with a common language, culture and history.
Ex- teacher don't want cell phones in school.
Point of View: opinions and preferences of an individual based on personal experiences.
Ex. An individual thinking the ogo pogo monster is real.
Quality of Life: The term quality of life is used to evaluate the general well-being of individuals in society.
Ex.- Not having facebook would ruin my quality of life
Governance: the process of governing.
Ex.- people who put in rules for different sections of government.

Political System: the structure of government.
Ex.- The prime minister is the head of the country.
Executive Branch: the part of government responsible for putting laws into action.
Ex.-these people put the distracted drivers law in action.

Judicial Branch: the part of government that interprets and applies the law by making legal judgements.
Ex.- they make the laws.

Constituent: someone who lives in a riding and is represented by an elected official from that riding.
Ex.- A City/Province broken up into areas represented by a leader.

Minorities: groups in society who do not form the majority of the population.
Ex.- Immigrants who live in Lethbridge.

Accountable: answerable to someone for your actions; observable,transparent.
Ex.- if you make a mistake your accountable and will take the blame.

Bias: an opinion based on unchallenged assumptions.
Ex.- Teenagers think parents are unfair, and parents think they are just protecting their child.
